Flamingo Hotel is supporting local artist, Antonio Carcamo, by exhibiting his art through out the hotel. Antonio was born in Mexico City and began his artistic journey through self-taught painting. At age 10, he began formal art classes and at 22 made his way to the U.S. where he began the art of sculpture. Antonio recently moved to Cozumel and was introduced to Tom Fryer, owner of the Flamingo, who is now displaying his paintings throughout the hotel. Guests may purchase and take home one of Antonio’s works after a stay; his paintings of the underwater reef range in price from $100–350 each.
