Elite Island Resorts has announced the addition of an 18-hole mini-golf course at The Verandah Resort & Spa, located on the Caribbean island of Antigua . The new course is the latest offering for family-fun entertainment at this all-inclusive, beachfront resort, a favorite among kids and parents alike.

True to its Caribbean location, the new tropical course is set amidst waterfalls, ponds and lush landscaping. Reggae, blues and soft jazz music emanate from hidden speakers placed around the green. The design replicates the bends and breaks found on real golf courses and features tunnels, bridges and sharp corners. The Verandah’s mini-golf course, which operates daily from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., is complimentary for resort guests and day pass holders, who may play unlimited rounds. Lively, competitive tournaments are held on Wednesday afternoons and Friday evenings.

Situated on 30 acres along Antigua’s northeast coastline and bordered by Devil’s Bridge National Park with its dramatic landmark rock arch, The Verandah Resort & Spa is an ideal vacation for family getaways or eco-luxury vacations. New family-friendly features include the addition of six two-bedroom villas that accommodate up to six guests each. The resort’s sustainability initiatives include environmentally-friendly insulation to maximize energy efficiency, state-of-the-art solar water heaters to conserve the island’s energy sources and energy-efficient golf carts that minimize noise and carbon emissions, among others. For dining, both all-inclusive and European plan options are available.
