The bridal experts at Barceló Maya Beach Resort have successfully completed Rose Events’, America’s Premier Event Consulting Firm, special courses in Hindu and South Asian weddings to better aid guests of all backgrounds in planning exceptional events.

The certification allows brides to feel more confident that their destination wedding is handled by experts who not only understand their culture but also all the aspects and unique traditions that need to be incorporated for an effortless planning experience from start-to-finish. To complete the course, staff must demonstrate a thorough understanding of food, beverage, service standards, vendor lists and wedding traditions from around the world.

“Providing effortless, memorable experiences characteristic of each individual couple is a top priority for us. This certification is just one of the many ways our team is continuously expanding global knowledge and expertise to better serve guests of all cultures and regions,” said Stefania Ballotta, sales and marketing director of Barceló Maya Beach Resort. “We are proud to be one of only a few resorts in the region with this level of training and distinction.”

Complementing the resort’s five newly added South Asian wedding packages, the resort implemented the training in response to the increasing popularity of culturally-immersed celebrations – a current travel trend that is expanding to destination weddings – which have more than doubled in bookings year-over-year. The Hindu and South Asian bridal offerings add to Barceló Maya Beach Resort’s existing heritage-rich celebrations, including hyper local Mystical Mayan ceremonies, for a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Located along the Mexican Caribbean coast on one of the longest stretches of private beach in the Riviera Maya, Barceló Maya Beach Resort complex is a five-resort, family-friendly complex that features 2,756 rooms, 20 restaurants, 19 bars and endless entertainment options. The property is currently undergoing a $50 million renovation that will enhance the overall guest experience, including a brand new Entertainment Center complete with a bowling alley and new guest suites among other additions. The renovation is expected to be completed by late 2014.
