East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition – EMITT, which is organized by ITE Turkey, exists within the structure of ITE Group PLC and is one of the world’s five biggest tourism exhibitions, has signed a 4-year contract with Aegean Communication SA in order to increase the tourism volume between Turkey and Greece. With the contract, representatives of the Greek tourism sector will attend the exhibition in a wider frame.
With the contract signed with the goal of increasing the tourism volume between Turkey and Greece, Greece will attend the EMITT Tourism exhibition on a field close to 500 m2. With the signing of the cooperation contract, all related Greek public establishments (chambers of tourism, municipalities, towns etc.) and private sector establishments (hotels, travel agencies etc.) will be represented exclusively at the EMITT tourism exhibition in 2016 and the next three years.
ITE Turkey Tourism & Travel & Fashion Group Director Hacer Ayd?n had the following to say about the cooperation: “We are very happy to bring the EMITT tourism exhibition and the Greek tourism sector representatives together with the cooperation contract we formed with Aegean Communication SA. This cooperation has big importance for ITE Turkey as well. I would like to especially point out to all the sector representatives in Greece that we realize you are going through tough times and we are with you as your neighbor in this process. We aim for this contract to support the Greek tourism sector and support the increase of the tourism volume between the two countries.”

EMITT tourism exhibition, having the experience and global cooperations of the tourism and travel exhibitions from all over the world such as MITT Russia, UITT Ukraine, AITF Azerbaijan and KITF Kazakhstan organized within the structure of ITE Group PLC. on its back, has become the biggest tourism and travel exhibition of Turkey and the region.
The 19th EMITT tourism exhibition held in January of 2015 has hosted a total of 142.100 visitors with the attendance of 71 countries and 4.550 establishments, foundations and towns. The EMITT tourism exhibition, which will be held in January of 2016, will put congress tourism, winter and outdoor sports tourism and health tourism on the agenda in its 20th year. With the cooperation and promotion work it has done all around the world, the target is for the exhibition to be attended by 80 countries.
East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition – EMITT, which will be organized between the 28th and 31st of January, will be organized under the corporate sponsorship of Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Turkish Airlines, with the support of KOSGEB and in the business cooperation of Turkish Hotels Federation (TÜROFED) and Turkish Tourism Investors Association (TYD).
