There is nothing like the 14th of July in France. European Waterways’ special all-inclusive cruise departing on July 10 will give passengers the chance to celebrate Bastille Day as they sip champagne while watching the world-renowned fireworks display from the deck of luxury eight-passsenger hotel barge Anjodi.

During the week, the fully crewed Anjodi will take passengers along the peaceful Canal du Midi in the South of France, cruising from Le Somail to Bram in the days leading up to the big event. Also during the cruise, there will be visits to the medieval fortified city of Carcassonne, and the charming rural town of Castelnaudary to explore its lively markets offering delicious local produce. This special summer cruise offers the perfect blend of excitement and tranquility. Up to eight passengers can enjoy this experience, staying in one of four cabins, each air-conditioned and with en-suite facilities. Or a party can charter the whole barge for a family celebration or reunion.

Prices for a six-night cruise in 2011 aboard Anjodi start from $4,190 for an individual booking and $29,500 for a full boat charter.
