With over a quarter of a century behind it, the Travel Expo covers Asia’s largest and fifth largest source markets of China (mainland) and Hong Kong which in 2012 respectively spent $102 billion (population 1.2 billion) and $20.5 billion (population 7.1 million) on international tourism.

ITE & MICE are well supported by the China National Tourism Administration, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong and Macau Government Tourist Office, trade associations of travel agents and event industries from Hong Kong and in the region.

ITE & MICE 2014, a co-location of the 28th edition of ITE and the 9th edition of ITE MICE, will next be held from June 12 to 15 at Halls 1A to 1E of the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Its first two days open only to trade and the last two days to the public, an arrangement allowing the organizer launching separate campaigns attracting more quality trade and public visitors in parallel! It highlights travel themes of Cruise, Honeymooning & Overseas Weddings, Sport Tourism which is new, Study Tours, Travel Photography, Wellness, with the second trade day designated as MICE / CORPORATE DAY when a series of related seminars will be held.

Occupying 16,000 square meters, the Expo in 2013 drew from 46 countries and regions 680 exhibitors some 85 percent of which from abroad. In the two trade days, it was visited by 6055 travel agents and tour operators, over 2,000 MICE & corporate visitors and a total of 11,872 buyers and trade visitors with 72% from Hong Kong, 20 percent from mainland China and 8 percent from abroad.
