Flo Tours, a tour operator that has been offering packages to Turkey, Greece, Israel, Jordan, and Egypt for 20 years, is unveiling a new booking engine that will enable travel agents to do everything necessary to complete a booking online. It’s the company’s first online booking system.

The booking engine is mounted on Flo Tours’ website. The travel agent log-in button is on the upper right portion of the home page. Travel agents can log in, register, identify themselves as agents with an IAATA or CLIA or TRUE number and they are set to go.

The booking software has been more than three years in development.

“The site has everything you need to make a booking,” said Cengiz Aras, president and CEO of Flo Tours. “You don’t have to pick up the phone. You can call us if you want to, but you don’t have to. It can all be done in a few minutes on the site.”

Using the new online system, a booking can be made in two or three minutes. Payments can also be made online. You can receive a booking confirmation online immediately after completing the booking.

You can track the booking after you’ve made it. You can track the commission, see all aspects of the booking. The site also gives full details about all the tours and packages available.

Aras hopes that the new online booking will attract more travel agents.

“We work with travel agents on about 60 percent of our bookings, and 40 percent with consumers,” he said. “We want to work with 100 percent agents because they are professional. It’s easier to work with them. They know their clients. Often they’ve been working with them for years and years and they know what they want.”

To attract travel agents and keep them close, Flo Tours offers exceptionally good commissions. Travel agent commissions for Flo Tours starts at 15 percent for bookings up to $10,000. Bookings of $10,000-$25,000 are commissioned at 17 percent. Bookings for more than $25,000 are commissioned at 20 percent.
