Marriott International has named John C. Tolbert as general manager of Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa located in the Wailea Resort destination on Maui and the 555-room Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa situated along the luxury Kohala Coast on Hawaii Island. He was most recently the principal and managing director of Revelation Consultancy, LLC, a global consulting firm that places an emphasis on resort and residential real estate.

Tolbert has held executive managerial positions for major hotel organizations including president of sales and marketing for LXR Luxury Hotels and Resorts, and hotel manager for Ritz-Carlton, Naples. In his early career, he was the director of sales for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts Hawaii.

He received his Executive Masters in Business Administration degree from Kennedy-Western University in California.
