This year’s edition of Maharashtra International Travel Mart (MITM) has been rescheduled by the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) to September 27-29. The event will be held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.

The Maharashtra International Travel Mart is spread over three days and showcasse the tourism attractions of the state that would lead to an enhanced brand image as a destination. ‘Destination Maharasthra’ gets together all stake-holders of the tourism industry in the state such as hoteliers, travel agents & tour operators, adventure tour operators, tourism districts, handicrafts and handlooms. With the advent of the strong middle class, Maharashtra is perceived as an excellent ‘Value for Money’ destination. With many new hotels and resorts coming up in Maharashtra, it is ideal for tour operators across India to come and see the properties and sell them in their local markets. The event will showcase the best of what Maharashtra has to offer to the discerning travel-trade from India and abroad.

The event was earlier scheduled from February 26 to 28. The three-day event is designed to showcase some of the major tourism attractions of the state in order enhance the brand image of the destination.
