When the adventure travel route becomes too predictable and routine, it’s time to look beyond the standard map and guidebook.

That is the philosophy behind the new Natural Habitat Expeditions that launched recently when Natural Habitat Adventures  merged with the former Explorers’ Corner.

“The creation of Natural Habitat Expeditions allows us to expand our offerings to travelers seeking a more physically challenging immersion into the natural world,” says Ben Bressler, founder and director of Natural Habitat Adventures.

Natural Habitat Expeditions is headed by Olaf Malver, founder of Explorers’ Corner and an acclaimed global adventurer who holds a coveted membership in the Explorers Club. The company’s specialized itineraries combine Malver’s decades of experience pioneering journeys to the planet’s farthest reaches with Natural Habitat Adventure’s famed guiding services and passion for conservation-focused nature travel.

In an age when adventure travel is often standardized and watered down, Natural Habitat Expeditions will explore unusual and remote natural destinations via kayaking, hiking, sailing and snorkeling. This new set of active adventures includes serious expedition material such as kayaking in Greenland and Kamchatka, or a 28-day Antarctica trip aboard a private sailboat with camping ashore. Softer offerings include paddling Portugal’s Douro River through port wine country, or sailing, kayaking and hiking combinations in the Galapagos and Croatia.

“It was my dream to fill a niche for true adventure travel,” says Malver. “To provide expeditions for travelers whose thirst for authenticity and exhilaration surpassed standard group tour offerings. Natural Habitat Expeditions offers unique active encounters with nature and culture you just won’t find anywhere else.”
