Air Malta has confirmed the appointment of Philip Micallef as its new Chief Executive Officer. Mr Micallef, who has a wealth of experience in leading complex organizations, was most recently the CEO of the Bermuda Communications Regulatory Authority.
“Philip has all the qualities and experience required to take this company forward,” said Maria Micallef, chairwoman of Air Malta.
In the last 30 years, Philip Micallef has occupied various management positions within many organizations in Malta and overseas, both in the private and public sector. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Malta and an MBA from the University of Warwick.
Mr. Micallef will officially take up the post on October 13, 2014.
