A celebration from last year's Madagascar Carnival, which will return June 21-23, 2015.

The Madagascar destination – represented by the Madagascar National Tourism Board, Air Madagascar, Aloes Travel Tours, Authentic Madagascar, Island Continent Tours, Discover Madagascar and the Regional Tourism Board of Tulear – attended ITB in Berlin last month to present the new offers in Madagascar to German tourists and professionals. The visa for a stay up to one month in Madagascar is free.

This year is particularly marked by the upgraded fleet of the national airline, Air Madagascar. Two new Boeing 737s will be commissioned to replace the two old aircraft for regional flights. Beginning in May, the new Air Madagascar fleet will be flying to and from Europe five times a week.

2015 events
2015 Donia Festival
A music festival launched in 1994 at the initiative of Nosy Be local authorities and tourist businesses. Donia is the biggest cultural festival in the Indian Ocean. The 22nd event is held in Nosy Be from May 16-24, 2015 in a typical tropical atmosphere.

Madagascar International Tourism Fair
As a member of the Vanilla Island Organization, the 4th ITM will be held from May 28-30, 2015. Over 80 exhibitors are expected at this event located at the Madagascar Hotel Carlton in Antananarivo.

Madagascar Carnival
The carnival will be held in the capital, Antananarivo, from June 21-23, 2015. It will honor Malagasy art and heritage. The Malagasy people’s leading festival will celebrate diversity in the traditions, cultures, crafts and cuisines of each region.

Whale Festival
The Sainte Marie Tourism Board and CETAMADA will organize the Whale Festival in Sainte Marie from July 4-12, 2015 to raise awareness of protecting marine mammals and endangered species.

New Tours
Nosy Tanikely Marine National Park
Only 20 minutes by boat from Nosy Be, the park is famous for its exceptional marine and terrestrial biodiversity. Scientific research confirms that Nosy Tanikely is the most important marine park in Madagascar.

Scientific Diving in Sainte Marie
The Bora Dive, PADI Diving Center is the first business providing scientific diving for tracking marine wildlife for films and documentaries. In partnership with CETAMADA, scientists will take part in assignments gathering information and protecting marine environments.
