Wyndham Hotel Group announced the continued expansion of its portfolio in New Zealand with the signing of a franchise agreement for the four-star Ramada Suites Auckland Federal Street, located in the heart of Auckland’s central business district.

The 42-apartment, boutique-style hotel is being developed by Robert Neil of New Zealand’s The Safari Group. The NZD$12 million development is scheduled for completion in October 2015 and will offer a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments.

Barry Robinson, Wyndham Hotel Group’s president and managing director, South East Asia and Pacific Rim, said the new Ramada property will help fulfill the growing demand for new, quality-driven lodging in the area.

“The debut of the Ramada brand in Auckland is a vital step forward in addressing the demand for quality accommodations in the city’s business hub,” he said.

Throughout Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rim, Wyndham Hotel Group currently has more than 60 hotels open and operating under its brands.
