I recently stayed at the Thompson Hotel Denver, and it exceeded expectations in every way. Located in the heart of the vibrant LoDo neighborhood, this two-year-old, 216-room modern hotel is perfectly positioned near Denver’s top attractions—Union Station, Ball Arena, Coors Field, the Dairy Block, Meow Wolf, and the new Market Station. The area is buzzing with energy, art, and culinary gems. My deluxe room was beautifully appointed, offering expansive windows with stunning views of the city skyline and nearby mountains. The design blends contemporary elegance with cozy touches, making it a relaxing retreat after exploring the city.
One of the highlights was dining at Chez Maggy, the hotel’s signature French brasserie by celebrity chef Ludo Lefebvre. With its intimate 90-seat layout and refined menu, it’s no surprise it’s one of Denver’s most talked-about restaurants. It’s a perfect spot to grab breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Equally impressive was Bar M, the popular lobby bar. Guests will enjoy delicious food and drink specials, blending traditional French favorites with Rocky Mountain flair. The happy hour from 2-6pm was buzzing both nights. The Thompson’s location made it easy to walk to dinner both nights, walk to Ball Arena to catch a Nuggets game and if you are in town to catch a game at Denver university it is only a 15-minute drive. Traveling with your pet? No problem, pets are welcome. Just call-in advance to arrange this option.
Attention Foodies
CULINARY STAGE: Thompson Denver is letting guests’ stage (pronounced stazhje) with the culinary team of signature restaurant Chez Maggy, helmed by celeb chef Ludo Lefebvre. The special 2-day Thompson Denver Culinary Bootcamp package is bookable now through the end of the year. Starting price for package: $2,000 for two nights and includes a half day kitchen “internship” where they’ll learn everything from how to dice to how to create Ludo’s famed omelet – and also includes a personalized 8” Messermeister Kawashima Chef Knife.

Thompson Denver’s stunning Reynard Social Spaces is perched on the 6th floor of Thompson Denver, Reynard Social Spaces is a 3,700sf event venue overlooking the Rocky Mountains. It’s a great space for meetings and especially for private holiday parties – it feels like you’re floating in a snow globe above Denver.
