Airberlin has appointed Roberto Cuesta Jr. as Vice President, Sales and Marketing The Americas effective September 1, 2014. In his new role, he will be reporting to Norbert Draskovits, Senior Vice President Sales Scheduled Services airberlin.
“Roberto has proven sales and management skills that will promote our continued growth in the Americas region which is key to the overall growth strategy for airberlin in this region”, stated Norbert Draskovits, Senior Vice President Sales Scheduled Services airberlin.
Roberto Cuesta was appointed Commercial Director in June 2013 for airberlin in the United States to further strengthen airberlin’s sales force in North America. He joined airberlin from ISSGMT where he was General Manager Regional Sales and Customer Service and has over 21 years of airline industry experience having worked for Martinair, South African Airways and British Airways. In his new role, he will oversee the ongoing expansion of the sales operations in the Americas in addition to establishing and coordinating marketing strategies for airberlin.
