visitBerlin and participating Berlin hotel partners have launched the new brand “Pink Pillow Berlin Collection“, an initiative designed to further strengthen Berlin’s standing as a one of the world’s leading travel destination for lesbians, gays, bi-sexual and transgender (LGBT) visitors.

Hotel members of the “pink pillow Berlin Collection” are committed to taking the extra step to welcome LGBT travelers by adhering to defined guidelines that include an equally high standard for all guests, regular staff workshops, as well as an active engagement in social LGBT projects. The hotels will also provide guests with information on LGBT interests and the scene in Berlin. Each hotel of the pink pillow Berlin Collection stands for the right that everyone can be the way he or she wants to be, and that every guest should feel safe and welcome.

Kicking off with 23 members, the pink pillow Berlin Collection includes hotels such as the nhow Berlin, Radisson Blu, Hotel InterContinental, The Westin Grand Berlin and Novotel Berlin Am Tiergarten. The collection will continue to expand as more hotels are joining.

According to estimates, LGBT guests currently represent about 6% of the overnight stays in Berlin. visitBerlin is actively working to attract even more LGBT visitors to the city. The pink pillow Berlin Collection is a concrete initiative which sets Berlin apart from other popular LGBT destinations.
