Carnival Cruise Line is honoring 15 top travel agencies in the U.S. and Canada with its third annual Excellence Awards. This year’s awards feature new segment-specific categories based on each agency’s specialization. Additionally, a new “Ted Arison Founder’s Award” named for the late Ted Arison, Carnival Cruise Line’s founder, honors a travel partner who has consistently demonstrated tremendous partnership, loyalty and support for the Carnival brand and upholds Ted Arison’s vision that everyone deserves a great cruise vacation.
Agencies were selected by Carnival’s sales team based on a variety of strengths including sales effectiveness, innovative marketing techniques, brand advocacy and demonstrated leadership in their category.
“This year’s Excellence Awards are especially exciting as we’ve introduced new categories that honor agencies not only for their innovative approaches to business, but their specific strengths and successes,” said Carnival’s Vice President of Sales & Trade Marketing Adolfo Perez. “We’re proud to honor these outstanding partners who represent a broad spectrum of the agency community and are true leaders in their markets.”
A Carnival sales leadership panel, led by Perez, evaluated numerous submissions from the sales team to select 15 Excellence Awards recipients based on the nominees’ strengths in each category.

This year’s honorees and their guests will attend an “Excellence Awards” celebration in Miami Beach from September 20-22, 2016, with complimentary airfare and hotel accommodations. Various events will be hosted by Carnival’s leadership team including a welcome party and a gala awards reception with dinner and dancing.
