The Barceló Bávaro Beach Adults Only hotel has been awarded the global “Check Safety First Awards 2013” prize. The award was received in person from Persia Álvarez, the Caribbean Director for Crystal International Standards. It confirms that this is the world’s safest hotel in terms of food and beverage handling.

Sandy Pfeil, Director of the Barceló Bávaro Beach Resort hotel, received the award on behalf of the entire Barceló Bávaro Beach Adults Only team and thanked each and every one of the people who helped to make this award possible.

“This award is not only an achievement which is fully deserved by the Barceló Bávaro Beach Adults Only hotel, it is a triumph for the Dominican Republic as a whole as the competition was between countries from 3 continents, and as such it is a success which all of us Dominicans should celebrate” said Persia Álvarez.

The Barceló Bavaro Beach hotel competed against 28 other winning hotels from their respective countries from 3 continents (America, Europe and Africa) and was given an award by Cristal International Standards– international leader in systems and services for brand quality, standards and risk management — as the best hotel in the world for its correct implementation of a series of health and safety guidelines and procedures. The award was granted after the hotel received the national Crystal Award for two consecutive years.

Monthly audits carried out by Crystal International Standards found that the established procedures are properly followed, resulting in a safe hotel for all the guests staying there.
