Journeys Within, a boutique Southeast Asia tour company, has announced that it’s celebrating 10 years of service this month. Since its founding, Journeys Within has provided custom, once-in-a-lifetime tours to guests, been pioneers in philanthropic travel, and greatly influenced Southeast Asia tourism development. Started in Cambodia in 2004, Journeys Within has gone from a one-woman shop to a leader in the boutique market with regional offices in Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia, with their sales office in California.

“When we first arrived in Cambodia in 2004, I would have never guessed that the next 10 years would have brought all this. It’s amazing.” said Andrea Ross, owner and founder of Journeys Within. “The growth and accomplishments the company has achieved are so gratifying. In the last 10 years we’ve not only received numerous accolades within our field, but we’ve had so many travelers experience incredible, life-changing trips with us, and we’ve been able to truly make a positive impact in the communities we live and work in.”

Journeys Within’s non-profit arm, Journeys Within Our Community (JWOC), has also grown tremendously since its inception. JWOC has thrived because of support and donations from Journeys Within and its guests. The JWOC Scholarship Program has funded over 200 university students; JWOC Free Classes in Cambodia offer education opportunities to those who would otherwise miss out and has over 700 students currently enrolled in classes; thousands of villagers now have access to clean, safe water thanks to the JWOC Clean Water Project; and the Microfinance Project has helped hundreds of people grow their business and better support their families and communities.

To celebrate their 10 year anniversary, Journeys Within has donated $10,000 to JWOC to help continue the amazing work that’s being done in the region.
