Christmas at the Galt House Hotel is packing in more magic and wonder for families this holiday season. The event, which runs November 16 – January 1 in Louisville, Kentucky, has many new features including a new character—Ernie the Engineer. Ernie runs the Peppermint Express Kiddie Train Ride through the Candy Cane Forest. He’ll also host Ernie’s Express Lunch where he’ll meet and interact with all the junior conductors. Another new addition is Sing ‘n’ Joy International Choral Festival and Competition. Over Thanksgiving Weekend, the event will bring choirs from across the U.S. and globe to participate and share their unique cultural traditions.

Families are making Christmas at the Galt House Hotel a holiday tradition. From the larger-than-life KaLightoscope luminaries, to the Christmas Village with the Snow Fairy and her Castle, restored figures from old department store holiday windows, a new green screen game for guests, and the Candy Cane Forest with 100 animated characters, a talking tree and the Peppermint Express kiddie train ride, to the Colors of the Season Holiday Dinner Show, the holiday spirit is in full force. Even the Toy Soldier Bellmen cannot contain themselves. They dance the Countdown to Christmas every night at 5 p.m. in the lobby to the amusement of guests November 28th through December 24th.
