Sofitel Luxury Hotels has signed a management contract for the Hotel Concorde Berlin which, as of February 1, 2014, will be operated under its new name, the Sofitel Berlin Kurfürstendamm. Together with the Sofitel Hamburg Alter Wall and the Sofitel Munich Bayerpost, the brand already manages four properties in Germany – due to be joined by a further top hotel, the Sofitel Frankfurt am Alte Oper, as of 2015.

Sofitel now has more than 30 hotels in Europe. Its growth strategy is aimed at operating first-class properties in exceptional locations of key cities, conjugating French elegance while respecting the culture of each country. Extensive renovation and remodeling projects, such as those recently undertaken at the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe with Studio Putman or at Sofitel Strasbourg Grand Ile, Sofitel Golfe D’Ajaccio Thalassa sea & spa and Sofitel Warsaw Victoria, indicate the importance of the European market.

Between February 2014 and the third quarter of 2014, in association with the hotel architect, Jan Kleihues, the public areas, the restaurants and the bar of the Sofitel Berlin Kurfürstendamm will progressively integrate the unique Sofitel luxury standards. The hotel will feature 311 guestrooms, 16 conference rooms and a large ballroom.
