The 8-Day holistic journey led by Lima based yoga practitioner and teacher, Sandra Gallegos, combines modern-day wellness, indigenous culture, and the breathtaking beauty of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Along the way, guests will enjoy exhilarating hikes, wellness workshops, focused practices, connect with inhabitants of remote communities and experience local culture by joining in traditional ceremonies intrinsic to daily life in the Andes. The 8-Day/7-Night round-trip itinerary starting in Cusco has four departure dates: Monday, September 16; Tuesday, October 15; Monday, November 11 and Tuesday, December 3.

Contemporary travelers are discovering like never before that one of the wonders of wellness is that it can be practiced anywhere. Mountain Lodges of Peru’s Yoga and Wellness Experience will unfold amid dramatic mountain landscapes draped in lush natural beauty and dotted with well-preserved archaeological sites from the empire of the Incas. While guests will have opportunity to explore historic sites including Ollantaybambo and Pisac, each day will also feature lively wellness programs from energizing morning movement and yoga sessions, to workshops such as Ayurveda for Life, The Five Pillars of a Holistic Lifestyle Transformation and Andean Superfoods and the Magic of Peruvian Food Culture.

Through Mountain Lodges of Peru’s commitment to local communities of the Andes, the journey will also offer opportunities to learn about their culture. Along the way, travelers will visit local markets; discover Andean farming practices alongside the Viacha community; and interact with expert women weavers of Choquecancha, who will introduce guests to natural textile dyes and spiritual coco leaf reading.

Mountain Lodges of Peru’s new Yoga and Wellness Experience to Machu Picchu will run 8 days/7 nights, priced from $3,660 per person on shared accommodations. The itinerary includes explorations of Inca sites, ground transportation, as well as accommodations at lodges and hotels.
