AMResorts®, an Apple Leisure Group Company, hosted its second annual Amazing Agents Celebration in Cancun, Mexico. The three-day gathering held at AMR™ Collection’s Dreams® Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort honored about 90 top-performing agents and travel agent leadership from the United States and Canada. The event showcased Apple Leisure Group and AMR™ Collection’s appreciation for its loyal travel agent community with complimentary travel and resort accommodations for agents with a guest, and dedicated programming to experience its award-winning brands, while giving agents access to meet and engage with executives and senior leadership from AMResorts®, Apple Leisure Group and Hyatt.
Held from December 1-3, 2021, the Amazing Agent Celebration featured a welcome reception, executive panel, first look at Breathless® Cancun Soul Resort & Spa during its grand opening event, resort activities, immersive outdoor excursions, and a gala to close out the celebration. Executives in attendance included Mark Hoplamazian, President and CEO of Hyatt; Alejandro Reynal, CEO and President of Apple Leisure Group; Gonzalo del Peón, Group President of AMResorts® Americas & Global Commercial; Kevin Wojciechowski, Senior Vice President, Sales and Distribution of AMResorts®; Mary Ellen Burke, National Director of Sales of AMResorts®; Carolina Bellina, Senior Director of Canadian Sales & Consortia Relations of AMResorts®, and Erica Doyne, Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications of AMResorts®. Through the duration of the event, AMR™ Collection rewarded agents with 3.5 million points in giveaways. Agents were also gifted a three-night stay in 2022 at the all-new Secrets® Moxché Playa Del Carmen, opening in February. The gala concluded with a surprise award presentation recognizing six agents who created a positive impact through their exceptional work in the industry.
Attendees earned their place at this year’s Amazing Agent Celebration based on the number of room nights registered with AMRewards from January 2019 through June 30, 2021. In 2022, agents will have the opportunity to be selected to attend the 2022 Amazing Agents Celebration based on their room nights registered from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022.
Travel agents’ health and safety was a main priority at the event with safety measures included such as AMR™ Collection’s best-in-class CleanComplete Verification™ protocols.
