A long-time leader at various Hyatt properties, Tucker began his career 25 years ago at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee working over night in the Security Department. As he grew within the industry, Tucker took many leadership roles with Hyatt including Hyatt Regency Chicago, Hyatt Regency Long Beach, and Huntington Beach Resort and Spa, eventually becoming Director of Rooms at Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center after which he spent the next six years in the Caribbean at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad West Indies, Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort, Spa and Casino, before heading back to the states as the Director of Rooms/AGM at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa in Bonita Springs FL.

 

Prior to joining Thompson Denver, Tucker was General Manager for more than two years at the famed Andaz West Hollywood.

Julian Tucker leans into many mottos when it comes to his work including; “don’t be afraid to experiment and be creative”, “lead with care at the center of it all,” and “treat people like you would want to be treated.” When he is not working, Tucker is involved with his community serving on a number of community programs including Hyatt Black Southwest Florida bringing awareness and opportunities in the area, Board of Directors West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, President of West Hollywood Minority Small Business Foundation, Board of Directors Sunset Strip Improvement district and the Board of Directors Visit West Hollywood visitors bureau.

Tucker and his wife Zena now live in Denver and enjoy traveling, particularly to the West Indies with friends, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers.
