The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced that Thailand is ready to welcome fully vaccinated visitors, including returning Thais and foreign residents, from approved low risk countries to enter the Kingdom by air with no quarantine requirements from November 1, 2021. The United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom are included on the list of approved low risk countries.

“Thailand is thrilled to welcome back travelers who meet certain guidelines with no quarantine after almost a year and a half since international travel was restricted,” said Santi Sawangcharoen, Director of the TAT New York Office. “Following all guidelines put forward by the Royal Thai Government, we are excited to safely allow explorers to experience our beautiful country.”

Under the new “Test & Go” entry scheme for fully vaccinated travelers from approved countries, the requirements are as follows:
? Travel by air from the approved countries/territories where travelers must have stayed for 21 days or more (except Thais and foreign residents.)
? Documentation required:
? A Certificate of Vaccination (fully vaccinated) with an approved vaccine at least 14 days before travel.
? Those previously infected within three months must have received one dose of an approved vaccine at least 14 days before travel and a medical certificate of recovery.
? Travelers under 12 years of age, traveling with parents, are exempt from the vaccination requirement.
? A Medical Certificate with an RT-PCR lab result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected issued no more than 72 hours before travel.
? A confirmed payment for one-night stay at SHA+, AQ, OQ, or AHQ, and one RT-PCR test.
? An insurance policy with coverage no less than US$50,000.
? Step-by-step process
? Before Arrival
? Apply for Thailand Pass QR Code at tp.consular.go.th
? Wait for an approval of Vaccine Certification and paid accommodations incl. RT-PCR
? Confirmation of Approval, receive Thailand Pass QR Code
? Upon Arrival
? Present the Thailand Pass QR Code to the Health Control to carry out checks, then proceed through immigration procedures
? Undergo the RT-PCR COVID-19 test at the reserved accommodation, or the pre-arranged test center. (Children under 6 have a saliva test.)
? Proceed to the hotel by the pre-arranged airport transfer. (Distance from airport within 2 hours.)
? Download and install the MorChana App at the hotel.
? During Your Stay
? Stay at least one night at SHA+, AQ, OQ, or AHQ accommodation, wait for the test result within the room. Hospital partner must report the result within 6 hours.
? If testing negative for COVID-19, travelers will receive an Antigen Testing Kit (ATK) for COVID-19 self-testing on Day 6-7. MarChana will alert for self-testing ATK on Day 6-7, then record the result in the application.
? Practice the D-M-H-T-T-A precautions. (Distancing, Mask wearing, Handwashing, Temperature check, Testing for COVID-19, and Alert application.)
? When You’re Leaving
? Travelers are free to go anywhere in Thailand or leave Thailand to other countries. However, travelers are advised to follow the guidelines and measures announced by the respective country of their destination.
