The Rivera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta held 95 business meetings during the most important meetings expo in the Americas, standing out for their fresh, new offerings for the sector.

IMEX America 2014, the most important expo for the meetings industry, which took place from October 14-16 in Las Vegas, Nevada, served as a showcase for the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta convention and visitors bureaus to present both destinations’ offers.

A total of 95 business meetings were held with the hoteliers and the destinations, which pointed to the great variety and availability of product to satisfy the needs for incentive travel, meetings, conventions, conferences and more.

There were 8 concrete incentive group leads for 2015 and 2016 generated from the business meetings with the destinations’ hotels. These 8 group trips, should they come to fruition, would represent an influx of 600 travelers to the region.

IMEX America is an event during which providers and buyers can appreciate the availability of the hotel and services for the meetings industry through a system of pre-established appointments.

The participating hotels from the Riviera Nayarit included the Hard Rock Hotel, Villa Group, St Regis Punta Mita, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit and Paradise Village.

The expo had around three thousand buyers from approximately 40 participating markets from around the world, mainly from the American continent.

The Riviera Nayarit continues to position itself in the meetings industry through participation such as this one, which is a latent opportunity to improve the region’s high season.
