The Hon. Minister of Tourism for Anguilla, Mr. Haydn Hughes (pictured left) and Anguilla’s Director of Tourism, Stacey Liburd welcomed the arrival of Cape Air’s inaugural flight from St. Thomas to Anguilla on November 20, 2021. The flight touched down at the Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (AXA) on Saturday at 10:15 AM, bringing a full complement of passengers and crew to the island. Peter Farrell (pictured right), Managing Director, Supply Chain and Facilities for Cape Air was also on hand to mark the occasion.

“It gives me tremendous pleasure to welcome Cape Air to Anguilla,” declared Minister Hughes in his welcome address. “Cape Air has been a significant player in San Juan and St. Thomas is a second home to many Anguillians. Cape Air also serves the British Virgin Islands, so this opens up the BVI, the USVI and Puerto Rico to our people and to our visitors. It makes traveling easy for our returning residents, tourists, visitors and the business traveler.”

“We are honored and delighted to have Cape Air as a valued tourism partner,” stated the Hon. Parliamentary Secretary, Tourism, Mrs. Quincia Gumbs-Marie. “Every Anguillian thanks you. We give you the assurance that our teams here on the island and our representatives in the marketplace will do our utmost to ensure the success of these flights.”
