Belmond Maroma Resort & Spa on Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula has launched a “Food, Fashion and Fitness Getaway” from June 19 –22 to immerse guests in gastronomy, style and wellbeing. Targeting both fitness fanatics and those keen step-up their exercise regime, the three-night break includes an organic cookery class, fashion tips and fitness sessions on the beach.

The “Food, Fashion and Fitness Getaway” will be hosted by three experts – high-end fashion designer Rubin Singer, professional triathlete and fitness instructor Zack Schares and the hotel’s Executive Chef Juan Pablo, who prepares fresh Mexican cuisine with an elegant twist. The long weekend includes three night accommodation with à la carte breakfast, a daily program of activities, use of the fitness center and wet areas of Kinan Spa, in addition to 20% off spa treatments.

After settling in and enjoying a welcome cocktail on June 19, guests will be put through their paces the next morning with a run through the hotel grounds and along its idyllic white-sand beach. Next is a bootcamp-style water aerobics class followed by an organic Mexican cooking lesson at Aldea Maya, a purpose-built Mayan village where dishes are prepared in clay pans over an open fire.

That evening, guests will feast on healthy additive-free treats, including non-dairy and gluten-free menu items during a “Chef’s Table,” which is prepared using traditional techniques and focusing on the five main ingredients of Mexican cuisine: corn, tomato, beans, chile and squash.

Saturday, June 21 will begin with another invigorating morning run, followed by a jungle and beach obstacle course, a game of sand volleyball – and a well-earned cocktail made ocean-side. The weekend will conclude on Sunday, June 22 with a challenging mini-triathlon hosted by Zack Schares before the group departs for home.

Throughout the weekend, Rubin Singer will mingle with the group and share his insight into fashion and trends.
