With just a mention of “Tahiti”, an image of the quintessential South Pacific palm-fringed beach and aquamarine lagoon comes to mind along with romantic resorts and overwater bungalows…yet few people are aware of the magnitude of what lies below these crystalline waters and the exhilarating experiences available for scuba divers looking to explore the more remote atolls of Tahiti’s Tuamotu Islands. Until now…

Caradonna Dive Adventures is offering exclusive space aboard Tahiti’s newest and only luxury liveaboard, the French Polynesia Master, a 138-foot custom-designed steel-hulled motor yacht, departing on its 10-night inaugural sailing on May 15, 2016 from Rangiroa to Fakarava. The expedition will be hosted by renowned underwater photographer Tanya Burnett, whose extensive knowledge of both diving and photographing the area will enhance the experience for all guests on this exciting exploration of the coral atolls of the Tuamotu archipelago. Famous for its exhilarating “pass dives” in which divers drift from the deep water outside the pass through breaks in the reef into lagoons, the area is also rife with seldom visited reefs and islands where big animals are the major attraction. Divers will encounter numerous species of sharks, manta rays, dolphins, sea turtles and massive Napolean wrasse in addition to a wide variety of reef fish and pelagics in exceptionally clear water offering visibility of well over 100’.

The French Polynesia Master will cater to experienced divers and offer a dive ratio of no more than five to one (five divers to one experienced dive guide). The crew will include at least 5 professional dive guides, all very familiar with the dive sites throughout the area and procedures necessary to deliver extraordinary dive experiences. The yacht will accommodate a maximum of 25 divers in private en-suite double cabins with individual air-conditioning and offer a spacious indoor lounging area, camera set up station with guest storage drawers, bench seating and plasma screen. There is an extra shaded outdoor lounging area to the rear of the upper deck with more comfortable seating. Finally, there is a sun deck on the upper level with two Jacuzzis where divers can soak up the stunning views of the French Polynesian islands.

The 10-night expedition is being offered at rates starting at US$5,450 per person based on double occupancy and includes accommodations, all meals and snacks as well as non-alcoholic beverages, up to 4 dives per day, plus land excursions where available. Additional space aboard the French Polynesia Master is also available for a 7-night expedition from January 14-21, 2017. Pre or post-stays and a variety of dive vacations in the islands of Tahiti are available through Caradonna’s exclusive selection of Tahiti packages including special offers such as free nights, free dives and free meals.
