CostaBaja, the first five-star resort development in La Paz, has announced the newest addition to the master-planned community, Hyatt Place La Paz. The new hotel will be built on a 53,000 square foot parcel of land adjacent to the 550-acre CostaBaja complex, and Hyatt Place guests will have access to the resort’s amenities, including several restaurants, an 18-hole Gary Player signature golf course, marina and the white sand beaches along the Sea of Cortez.

“We are excited to welcome Hyatt to the CostaBaja community and look forward to offering travelers another quality hospitality option while visiting La Paz,” said Alejandro Yberri, CEO of CostaBaja. “The addition of Hyatt Place La Paz continues our development strategy of offering a variety of ways to explore the 400 year-old city of La Paz and the incredible marine life of the Sea of Cortez.”

The CostaBaja Resort & Spa, a 115-room, 5-star luxury boutique hotel managed by Grand Heritage Hotels, sits adjacent to the 250-slip double-basin CostaBaja Marina and features the first spa in La Paz, two pools, two signature restaurants and an 18-hole Gary Player Signature golf course. The Hyatt Place La Paz is expected to open in 2014.
