To spice up the iconic Presidential Suite Fernando Botero, Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Cartagena had the support of the Master Botero interior designer Lina Botero. The suite offers a large dining room, master bath, half bath, walk-in closet, kitchen, bedroom and living room. The hotel has transformed each of these aspects into a place of great comfort and sophistication, all with a Colombian touch.

The suite now has new technology, including a NightCove system and a Bose 7.1 home theater unit that provides the best sound possible. The color palette for the suite is in wheat and sand shades, which recall the master’s works in his beginnings. The elements that are part of the decoration are natural like linen, wood, plant fibers, cotton, jute and sisal, all of which are handmade in Colombia.

The furniture was designed with a classic contemporary style, the objects are mostly handmade with some colonial elements, and complemented with two important masterpieces of Botero.

Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Cartagena boasts 123 beautiful guestrooms, 19 of which are suites. The stylish guestrooms overlook the Old Town, the Caribbean Sea as well as the hotel’s poolside and interior courtyards. The Colonial suites, tastefully renovated and located in the 17th century Colonial wing, combine historical charm with modern comfort with views to Cartagena´s walled city.

Sofitel Legend Santa Clara is located in the historical core of Cartagena de Indias, declared by UNESCO as a World Historical and Cultural Heritage Site. In October 2015, the hotel will celebrate its 20th year in business.
