Taking place for the 18th time from January 30 to February 2, 2014, the East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair concluded with the “Best of EMITT” awards given to participating countries and townships, breaking attendance records once again. 74 participants received these awards at this diligently organized event, with colorfully decorated stands of the attending more than 4,500 entrants.

Among the 2014 EM?TT Stand Awards, the ‘Best Stand’ award went to Lebanon, the ‘Best Performance’ award to Argentina, the ‘Best Performance’ award to Romania, the ‘Best Teamwork Stand’ award to Nepal, the ‘Most Sympathetic Stand’ award to Mongolia and Egypt, the ‘Most Original’ award to Kazakhstan, the ‘Best Promotional Stand’ award to Thailand, the ‘Most Interesting and Best Decorated’ stand award to Aegean Communication – Greece, the ‘Best Organized Stand’ award to Italy and Bulgaria, the ‘Best Advertised Product Stand’ award to India, the ‘Best Friendship Stand’ award to Cambodia, Seychelles and Malaysia, the ‘Most Energetic Stand’ award to the Maldives, the ‘First and the Best Breakthrough Stand’ award to Mauritius and Croatia, the ‘Best Stand Performance’ award to Azerbaijan, the Longest Participating Stand’ award to South Africa.

Among the Townships, in the category of the ‘Best Booth Décor, the award went to Siirt Governor’s Office, and the ‘Most Effective Promotion’ award to the Western Black Sea Development Agency and the Western Black Sea Development Association.

As the world’s 5th largest tourism fair,  EMITT continued its climb by breaking attending exhibitor and visitor figures once again. Aiming to carry Turkey to much higher levels in tourism, EMITT Exhibition targets to make Turkey one of the three leading tourism centers in the world in the next 10 years.
