The American Queen Steamboat Company is introducing Cajun and Creole Christmas traditions onboard. Five Old Fashioned Holidays voyages on the American Queen are available from New Orleans roundtrip or between New Orleans and Memphis, Tenn.

These itineraries offer guests authentic holiday experiences including the old Louisiana tradition of bonfires on the levees, special Christmas shows in the Grand Saloon, door-decorating contests and even a visit from Santa Claus and his elves.

  • The seven-night Old Fashioned Holidays voyages depart from Memphis, Tenn. to New Orleans on Dec. 1 and Dec. 21. A voyage upriver is also available from New Orleans to Memphis, Tenn. on Dec. 20 with all itineraries calling on Vicksburg, Miss.; Natchez, Miss.; St. Francisville, La.; Baton Rouge, La.; and Oak Alley, La.
  • A five-night New Orleans roundtrip Old Fashioned Holidays voyage departs Dec. 8 featuring the ports of Oak Alley, La.; St. Francisville, La.; Natchez, Miss.; and Baton Rouge, La.
  • A seven-night New Orleans roundtrip Old Fashioned Holidays voyage embarks December 13 calling on Oak Alley, La.; St. Francisville, La.; Natchez, Miss.; Vicksburg, Miss.; Baton Rouge, La.; and Houmas House, La.

Five-night Old Fashioned Holidays fares begin at $1,395 per person based on double occupancy, and seven-night voyages start at $1,995. All journeys include a one-night pre-voyage hotel stay, all shore tours onboard deluxe Steamcoaches in all ports, complimentary wine and beer with dinner and more.
