The President of the Cancun Hotel Association, Roberto Cintron, announced that over 600 Tour Operators, Buyers, Meeting Planners, Press, and Mexico Suppliers are expected to attend this year’s 26th Cancun Travel Mart Mexico Summit, October 14 -16 at the Cancun Convention Center. The “strictly business” format focuses on two days of over 2,100 pre-scheduled business appointments between Buyers and Suppliers. Organizers say that many more business appointments are personally arranged “on-site” during the event.

In addition to the pre-scheduled business appointments, The Cancun Travel Mart brings tour operators and tourism product & services nuyers to Cancun from almost 20 countries for destination up-date reports, and hotel site inspections. The event includes tourism destinations from all of Mexico, not just from Quintana Roo, the Riviera Maya, and the “Mexican Caribbean” region. In addition to Tour Operators, carefully qualified meeting planners also attend Cancun Travel Mart and receive VIP Site Inspections.

Several changes to the registration and welcome areas, booth/exhibit section, café area, and luncheons location are being implemented this year to make it easier for buyers and suppliers to claim their credentials, and to have their pre-scheduled meetings and appointments.

Buyers Registration Fees are $150 and include all official functions, airport transfers, and shuttle transportation. Buyers arrange their hotel accommodations with participating hotels.

Cancun Hotel Association Members Registration Fees are $1,460 for up to 28 pre-scheduled appointments or $1,860 for up to 56 pre-scheduled appointments. Suppliers also pay $225 per delegate. Registration fees for suppliers who are not members of the Cancun Hotel Association or the Hotel Association in their region are higher: $1,660 and $2,060.

“Every year we try to improve and adjust policies and procedures so that Cancun Travel Mart provides a valuable business development opportunity for Cancun, The Riviera Maya, and other regions of Mexico,” said Cancun Hotel Association President Roberto Cintron.

Irma Coleman, president & CEO of William H. Coleman, Inc., the Cancun Travel Mart event management firm noted that the new changes in the registration and meetings areas will make it easier for buyers and suppliers to make the most of their time and resources.
