Connoisseurs Scotland’s collection of fine Scottish hotels has just increased by two, with Glencoe House and Donald J. Trump’s MacLeod House & Lodge joining the family of luxury properties effective immediately. The 22-year-old marketing partnership now has 28 members welcoming guests throughout Scotland.

“We are thrilled to have these two wonderful properties join as members of Connoisseurs Scotland,” said Jeremy Hawking, the group’s chief executive. “I’m delighted to be able to share this very good news at such an important time, when the eyes of the world are upon Scotland.”

MacLeod House & Lodge, Donald J. Trump’s historic Scottish property in Aberdeenshire, is set amid mature woodland in the heart of the Trump International estate. Dating back to the 14th century, this country house hotel offers superior and grand deluxe guestrooms in addition to bar and dining facilities. This combination provides the ultimate setting for overnight stays, special dinners, private parties and exclusive use. Boasting stunning views and bursting with period charm, the property features lavish furnishings, Italian marble en-suites and many signature Trump touches.

Glencoe House is located near the village of Glencoe, just a two-hour car ride from Glasgow. The house, which dates to 1896, was designed by Sir Robert Rowand Anderson, a noted Scottish architect whose other works include the Scottish National Portrait Gallery and buildings on the campus of Edinburgh University. This luxury accommodation in the heart of the Scottish Highlands is a far cry from a conventional hotel room. The property has been converted into an all-suite hotel with seven suites that measure between 861 and 1,593 square feet. These suites comprise a substantial sitting room, which boasts an array of period features and an open fire, giving guests plenty of space to rest and unwind. Each suite also boasts a “maxi-bar” that offers a selection of wines, beers and whiskies, plus a dining table – often in its own private dining room – where breakfast and dinner are served. All suites offer panoramic views of a loch, garden or mountains.
