When the La Mansion Inn opened ten years ago, Wesley Leder-Bodaan joined his mother and father together with his brother Harry to help their uncle with the opening festivities of the hotel. Now, exactly ten years later, he and his brother have returned to Costa Rica to take the helm of the food and beverage facilities of the 5-star hotel facilities.

For the past ten years, Wesley finished his culinary education in the Netherlands and worked in several first-class hotels in Europe in order to prepare himself for the biggest challenge of his life, to get ready and work side-by-side with his well-known uncle Harry Bodaan, owner of the La Mansion Inn and former President of the International Press Center and Club, Moscow, and long-time General Manager of the National Press Club in Washington D.C.

While at the National Press Club in Washington D.C., Uncle Harry was famous for his composition of unorthodox menus—which included the Presidential Menu Series and his Wild Game Menus which featured items such as Loin of Lion, Giraffe Shoulder and Round of Hippo—as well as his personal attention to detail to the needs of his thousands of national and international VIP guests.
