Explore Zambia and Zimbabwe with much more ease – just one visa to travel between the two. A common tourist visa has recently been issued by Zambia and Zimbabwe effective immediately – the Kavango Zambezi Trans-frontier Conservation Area (KAZA) UNIVISA.

What is UNIVISA? It is a common tourist visa for the SADC region, currently being piloted by Zambia and Zimbabwe for 6 months. Angola, Botswana and Namibia are expected to join the initiative after the initial pilot period. In later phases, other SADC countries will join.

The following 8 ports of entry will issue the visa:

ZAMBIA
KK International Airport
Harry Mwaanga International Airport
Victoria Falls Border
Kazungula Border

ZIMBABWE
Kazungula Border
Victoria Falls Border
Victoria Falls International Airport
Harare International Airport

The UNIVISA will be issued at a standard fee of $50 and will be valid for 30 days as long as you remain in Zambia and Zimbabwe. It also covers those who visit Botswana for day-trips through the Kazungula Borders.

Eligible tourists will save time and money because they will only need to obtain one visa to visit both countries. More reason to explore both countries on the same trip. Further information can be found here www.kazavisa.info.
