Travelers can visit and get a taste of two distinct and fascinating cultures with Friendly Planet Travel’s India and Nepal tour packages. The nine-day Taste of India tour starts at $1,699 and the 13-day Taste of India and Nepal tour starts at $2,199. Both tours offer travelers first-class sightseeing and accommodations.

“India’s deep religious significance, rich history, and fascinating monuments have always made it a popular destination among travelers,” says Peggy Goldman, President of Friendly Planet Travel.

“By dropping the prices of our tours while enhancing the included features and amenities, we are hoping to introduce even more people to these diverse and beautiful countries”, she said.

The packages include guided tours of India and Nepal’s most fascinating destinations, with transportation on Volvo tour buses in India that offer modern amenities and comfortable arrangements for exploring the country. With a group size of fewer than 25, travelers will have a more intimate experience of both countries.

The Taste of India tour begins as travelers check in to their centrally located, five-star hotel, Shangri-La’s Eros Hotel, New Delhi. From there, the exotic journey starts with a guided tour of Old and New Delhi as travelers enjoy the ancient, 3,000-year history of the city, explore the modern Laxmi Narayan Temple, and visit Raj Ghat, the memorial to Gandhi. Travelers then continue by bicycle rickshaw to Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque, before marveling at the Qutab Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the India Gate in New Delhi. The journey continues in Agra, where travelers enjoy a sunrise tour of the remarkable Taj Mahal, one of the world’s great wonders. Optional excursions to Agra Fort or Itmad-Ud-Daulah are available for $25 each, per person. Additional stops on the tour include Fatehpur Sikri, Barara Village and Jaipur.

The Taste of India and Nepal tour includes all the highlights of the Taste of India tour, but adds four additional days in Kathmandu, with tours of Bhadgaon, Durbar Square, Bodhnath, and the Pashupatinath temple area, as well as a city tour and leisure time that travelers can use to independently explore the city and its surroundings. An optional excursion to experience a scenic flight over Mount Everest and the breathtaking Himalayas is also available for purchase locally.

Both packages include round-trip, non-stop airfare from New York (JFK) via Air India; ground transportation throughout; fuel surcharges, airline taxes, and fees and more.
