Seven seems to be Glenwood Springs’ lucky number. The Colorado mountain town now known as America’s Most Fun Town was named one of the top seven small ski towns in America by Rand McNally and USA Today, both designations part of their Best of the Road series. Seven is also a prime number in Glenwood Springs’ new winter marketing campaign, Ski 7, which enables visitors to ski seven nearby mountains including Aspen and Vail, as well as the town’s own Sunlight Mountain Resort, and enjoy amenities like the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool, all while keeping costs down with affordable lodging in Glenwood Springs.

On January 17, Rand McNally and USA Today included Glenwood Springs on their list of Best of the Road Top Seven Ski Towns, the same series that named Glenwood Springs the Most Fun Town in America in July. The new designation comes just after the launch of the resort town’s new Ski 7 promotion which brings together skiing at seven mountains, including Aspen, Aspen Highlands, Beaver Creek, Buttermilk, Snowmass, Sunlight Mountain Resort and Vail, with economical lodging choices in Glenwood Springs and world-class, one-of-a-kind attractions like the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool and Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park.

“Glenwood Springs has it all: premier skiing, exceptional attractions, award-winning restaurants, entertaining nightlife, and we’re affordable. It’s an unbeatable combination that people respond to,” said Lisa Langer, Vice President of Tourism Marketing for the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association.

According to the Rocky Mountain Lodging Report, the average daily room rate in Glenwood Springs during the winter months is less than $100 a night, compared to $300 – $400 per night in Aspen or Vail.
