Righteous speakers with great stories to tell will address the inaugural Pacific Asia Indigenous Tourism Conference (PAITC), which takes places, Darwin, March 29-30. Professor Gerry Bodeker, who works internationally in health and conservation, using medicinal plants in wellness provision will expand our views of just what Indigenous tourism is – and what it can be. Mark Olive (aka ‘The Black Olive’) has been a chef for over 25 years and has become a well know Australian celebrity with his charismatic style and creative approach to food. He starts in his own television series ‘The Outback Cafe’. Mark will fuse and co-present with Gerry to give a unique local perspective with practical examples (and attitude) of how the range of indigenous tourism products can be enhanced.
