Does the travel industry need another professional organization? Kathy Moroney believes so. She believes that so much that she’s the Founder and CEO of the International Association for Travel to Africa (IAFTTA).

“The time is perfect for travel consultants to focus on learning about Africa,” says Moroney. “Baby boomers are starting to retire and Africa is on many bucket lists. Most travel consultants aren’t familiar with the best resources for selling fulfilling travel to Africa; they don’t have a way to learn about tourism in Africa in a reliable and collegial manner. IAFTTA will provide that to them.”

IAFTTA is an online professional membership association. Membership is for both travel consultants and travel suppliers. The membership site is a one-stop place for Africa tourism information. Travel suppliers will have 24/7 access to share their products. Travel consultants can ask questions of colleagues and get experienced assistance.

“It’s ideal for travel suppliers to become members. They won’t need to spend time and money on visits around the United States, never knowing whether they are visiting travel consultants who are interested in their product or not.”

The Association is accepting memberships with special introductory prices through February 29, 2012 with $100 savings. Travel suppliers joining now will be able to do the first seminars and fams.
