The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board will continue its promotions of its Meeting, Incentive Travel, Convention and Exhibition (MICE) industry in 2013 with a proactive campaign, including an alliance with the Mexico Tourism Board (MTB) with whom it will participate at this year’s AIBTM, IMEX and MPI.

Guillermo Ohem, executive director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board, joined Eduardo Chaillo, the MTB’s executive director for the Meetings Industry, at this year’s PCMA’s Convening Leaders in Orlando to present the Mexican Pacific jewel’s varied meetings and conventions infrastructure.

During the conference, Ohem educated over 2,000 professionals on the destination at the MTB-sponsored luncheon and showed the floor plan layouts of some of the venues Puerto Vallarta is home to, including its International Convention Center.

With an excess of 12,599 hotel rooms, an International Convention Center, world-class diverse tourism offers and accessibility, Puerto Vallarta is a great destination for MICE events. One of Mexico’s premier destinations, Puerto Vallarta has hosted high profile conferences in the past such as the 2011 Pan-American games, Tianguis and the World Economic Forum.

In 2013 the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board is planning a promotion of its MICE infrastructure, including a presence in IMEX and MPI as well as meeting with meetings professionals during its upcoming roadshow which will visit cities across the US and Canada.
