Following the announcement of a new leadership team in July, Regent Hotels & Resorts, a leading luxury hotel brand owned by Formosa International Hotels Corporation, announces a new global sales network with offices located in New York and London and the appointment of Erika Limmer, Karin Cohen and Jo Clark as directors of sales.

Erika Limmer was most recently director of sales for The Regent Berlin, where she was responsible for the growth of leisure, group and corporate revenue and market share. Previously, Limmer served as director of sales for Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Prior to that, Limmer spent twelve years with CIGA Hotels as a regional sales manager, spearheading the reservations office for 34 properties and developing the marketing strategy for the Southeast U.S.

Karin Cohen brings more than 21 years of experience in hospitality sales and management. Cohen was previously director of business development for Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts where she supported the expansion of the East Coast Regional Sales Office. At Shangri-La, she was charged with developing corporate, leisure and MICE sales in the U.S.

Prior to joining Regent Hotels & Resorts, Jo Clark spent six years at The Leading Hotels of the World, where she served as account manager and cultivated new business for the corporate and leisure markets. During that time, Clark also managed the corporate and consortia RFP process for a diverse group of clients. Clark began her career in the travel industry at Carlson Wagonlit Travel.

For Regent, Limmer will concentrate on the brand’s key U.S. Western source markets while Cohen will focus on the East Coast from Regent’s new N.Y. office. Clark will direct Europe market activities out of Regent’s London office. Limmer, Cohen, and Clark will be charged with building sales via the travel agency distribution channel for Regent’s portfolio of properties in Asia, Europe and the Caribbean.

“Erika, Karin and Jo possess an extensive knowledge of the luxury market segment in North America and Europe. All three have longstanding, deep relationships with the luxury travel agent community, top agency consortia and key corporate travel managers and meeting planners. These established relationships along with their proven track records in hospitality sales will be tremendous assets for us as we reestablish Regent as the leading luxury global hotel brand,” said Christine Hodder, senior vice president of Regent Hotels & Resorts.

In addition to New York and London, Regent Hotels & Resorts has plans to expand its global sales network and will open further sales offices in Tokyo, Shanghai and Beijing in 2011.
