Located on a UNESCO World Heritage Site amidst the towering Pitons, Fond Doux Plantation & Resort has added three new Honeymoon Suites to its private collection of romantic colonial style cottages in Soufriere, St. Lucia.

Fond Doux Plantation & Resort is a 19th century eco-friendly colonial plantation nestled in the heart of St Lucia. The resort is situated amidst a 250 yr. old working plantation and features an assortment of fifteen uniquely crafted cottages, two onsite restaurants and a collage of outdoor swimming pools. They are conveniently located just minutes away from the island’s main attractions: The Sulphur Springs – the Caribbean’s only “drive-in volcano”, The Pitons and the best diving sites on island all within the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Honeymoon suites include Hilltop Cashew, Hilltop Nutmeg, and Hilltop Orange, and have been completed. These lovely cottages each have a private plunge pool and outdoor rainforest shower; complete with the same rich character Fond Doux is internationally known for, as well their restaurants’ “plantation to plate” concept. The resort’s reception area and gym have also been relocated into the 250 year old main Plantation House, providing a spacious lobby and lounge for all of their guests to enjoy.

“We’re already into 2015, and we’re looking forward to an exciting year,” said Fond Doux owner Eroline LaMontagne. “Both the gym and the transferring of the office to the main house will be completed within the next four to six weeks. We look forward to intensifying our plantation-to-plate concept and as a green globe certified property we will be educating and providing more staff training on our eco-green practices.”

Fond Doux received a Green Globe recertification earlier last year, recognizing the resort’s dedication to sustainable tourism.
