Tara Tours returned from their recent six night travel agent adventure to the Peruvian Amazon aboard the luxurious M/V Aria. Hermine Taramona, Vice President, escorted an intimate group of eight retail travel agents from all over the United States. The group flew LAN Business class MIA/LIM/MIA enjoying every moment of being wined and dined and coach LIM/IQT/LIM. Two nights were spent at the super deluxe Westin Libertador Hotel in San Isidro, Peru. Taramona described the the hotel “as perfection down to every employee whose smile welcomed you. This property is beautifully appointed and the staff very well trained in service”.

She added that “the group went on a city tour of Lima followed by a visit to the must see Larco Herrera Museum. A leisurely lunch was enjoyed at the Museo Larco Cafe-Restaurant where they enjoyed Pisco Sours and the most divine Peruvian Cuisine. Five days and four nights were aboard the M/V Aria. Imagine taking a boat ride into the Amazon to listen to the sounds of the jungle and then being served Mimosa’s in crystal stemware along with local roasted nuts. Imagine having a cabin window that stretches across the entire cabin space so one can lie in bed and watch the Amazon go by. Imagine being served elegant meals by a famous Peruvian chef. All this and much more are part of the M/V Aria experience and this group of travel agents relished every moment. Peru and its Amazon are treasures! It must be loved and protected for the generations to come”.
