According to the latest Trans Atlantic Report, published by Donald N. Martin & Company, overall trans-Atlantic traffic rose in March by an average 5.8 percent on the leading carriers, the biggest jump since last May. And that came on a reduction of capacity by 1.7 percent, resulting in a tight 82.3 average load factor (compared to 76.4 for March ’11). In the same report statistics show that travel by Americans to Britain declined by more than 3 percent in February (on an average per-day basis) based on preliminary data from VisitBritain.
