Evergreen Lodge, a classic mountain resort located on the western border of Yosemite National Park, has announced that it will celebrate its 90th anniversary with guest packages, special menus, historical activities, a themed New Year’s celebration and commemorative mementos. Originally developed in 1921 to serve the crews building the O’Shaughnessy Dam at Hetch Hetchy, the recently expanded lodge now attracts travelers visiting Yosemite and all its natural splendors.

Evergreen Lodge introduces its Evergreen’s 90th Anniversary Celebration Package, a two-night getaway including cabin accommodations, meals, a full-day guided recreation activity, massages and anniversary mementos. The package is valid through December 15, 2011; rates vary by season, ranging from $440 to $550 per night.

For those who prefer to customize their own itinerary, the lodge offers the Evergreen Plan upgrade to any room reservation at a special 90th anniversary rate of $90 per person. The upgrade includes a gourmet three-course dinner and a choice of one of Evergreen’s historically themed recreation trips. The Evergreen Plan provides a savings of up to 30 percent over reserving dinner and recreation separately.

Guests can learn more about the history of the Evergreen Lodge through 90th anniversary historic property tours and slideshows offered each week. Evergreen Lodge offers accommodations in 90 cabins (including some built in the 1930s and modernized in 2006), 15 custom campsites and the private vacation rental John Muir House.
