Airberlin has announced lower fares for travel from October 27 through December 14, 2014 and January 12 through March 15, 2015. The sale kicks off today and is valid until October 21, 2014. Fares start as low as $469 for a round-trip ticket from New York (JFK) to Stockholm and additional fare specials from Miami and Chicago to many other destinations throughout Europe are also available, such as from Miami to Krakow from $899 or from Chicago to Vienna from $649.

This year Germany’s capital Berlin will commemorate the 25th anniversary of fall of the Berlin wall with a light installation that will trace the entire former route of the wall. The light installation features a balloon release which takes place on November 9, 2014. Travelers can also take advantage of the magic of the Christmas markets throughout Europe that begin in late November and are open through Christmas day.
