In response to the recent incidents involving several Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft and the recommendation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to temporarily suspend operations with this type of equipment, Grupo Aeromexico has announced to maintain its decision to incorporate 19 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, citing confidence in Boeing and its products.

All plans concerning the delivery of the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner to Aeromexico´s fleet next summer remains unchanged. Areas of the company continue to prepare for its arrival according to the original plan.

In a statement the airline said their decision to acquire the Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a commitment to offer “one of the most modern, safe and efficient fleets in the world to benefit its passengers and in support of the development of the Mexican economy”.
